Think about how the cell cycle is altered in cancer cells. Make a post describing how the cance cells differ from "normal" cells in relation to the cell cycle. (2 Extracredits)

-When the cells get out of control, cancer can occur. This happens when cells are exposed to certain chemical or radiation. As a result, mutations increased and it damages the DNA.

- The cancer cells are indeed different from the normal cells. They prevent some organs to function properly, absorb the nutrients needed by other cells and block nerve connections.

Hi Passy, you don't address the question about cell cycle and cancer cell. In other words, think about what is special about cancer cells and how the cell cycle is altered in those cells. Please, make up your answer with your new thoughts. Good trying, though.

*Cancer is a disease characterised by uncontrollable cell growth.Cancer cells are abnormal cells and they have characteristics that can be associated with their ability to grow uncontrollably.Cancer cells are charectarized by undifferentiated and uncontrolled cell division.Cancer cells are non-specialized, and divide uncontrollably. they are almost like the opposite of the normal cell. they just get out of control and everything inside the cell of the cancer is totally different from the normal cell.
i think someone can get sick if this occur.

Hi Julien,
thanks for trying. Please, edit your comment and compose an answer you fully understand. For instance, you repeat the word "uncontrollably" several times. Make it simple, and use the cell cycle to frame your explanation. I am looking forward to reading your next draft.

When cancer happens, cells continue to be created without control or order. A mass of tissue can be created which is called a tumor. In normal cells, cells divide in an orderly way to produce more cells when the body needs them.

I hope that will fit your question asked...

Hi Mr
Thanks for remind me about it.
Ok what i meant by "uncontrollably" is that normal cell divide when they receive signal, but the cancer will divide whenever they please, and don't pay attention of how much they crowd their neighbors. They will also move to places they don’t belong, they stop obeying aging signals. In short, cancer cells misbehave, and their
mischief gives rise to tumors. They are anti-social.
i think that will explain why the are uncontrollably.

~Cancer: results from a mutation which causes" uncontrolled cell division"
-No cure existe presently
-Many form of cancer are treatable
-some forms are Fatal...
Cencers results from uncontrolled cell division. Cancer cells do not seem to follow the rules or recognize the signals that control normal cell division. Uncontrolled cell growth can occur in many different type of cells. There have a lot of type of cancer , such as skin cancer...There does not seem to be a single cause for aall type of cancer.

Cancer cells have mutations in the genes that control the cell cycle. Some of these genes tell the cell cycle to proceed, in other words they are "go" genes like the
accelerator in your car. These are called proto-oncogenes. Some of these genes tell the cell cycle to stop when the cell is done dividing and no more cells are
needed. These are called tumor suppressor genes. They are like the brake on your car. If either of these are mutated, it causes the cell cycle to go too fast, like having your accelerator stuck to the floor or losing your brakes. So the cancer cells divide too fast and pile up in one area, & this is called a tumor.

hope it makes sense ! <3
